Towards Freedom Book

I wrote Towards Freedom in 2019. Although I didn’t know it at the time, it reflects the logic that lead me to give up my U.S. citizenship. If you want free PDF of the book download it below.

Since about 1860 Americans have steadily moved away from their country’s founding principles, such as individual freedom and property rights, towards collectivist ideals that favor centralized power. Towards Freedom examines centralized government systems and demonstrates how they overwhelmingly produce the opposite of their stated goals.  Has the Federal Reserve produced a “safe, flexible, and stable monetary and financial system,” for example?  And how about the War on Poverty or the War on Drugs or the War on Terror?  None of these programs deliver as promised; and, instead, enrich a small group of politically connected elites at the expense of and while initiating force against working and middle-class Americans.

The U.S. government poured tens (perhaps hundreds) of trillions of dollars into dead end projects, dangerously inflating the dollar and seriously jeopardizing the viability of the United States.   Despite collecting taxes to the tune of 60+ percent of the average American’s productivity, U.S. debt and unfunded liabilities currently total approximately $210 trillion, on the way to the moon!  But for the FED’s specially anointed super power of currency creation, the U.S. economy would crash like a house of cards.

The good news is that blockchain and decentralized technology arrived and is here to stay!  While still in its nascency, this revolutionary new technology shows incredible promise.  It already produced Bitcoin, a decentralized, scarce, sound alternative to fiat currency.  In the not too distant future, it will enable a governance revolution equal in significance to the agricultural or industrial revolutions. The upside implications for humanity are staggering.  The transition, however, will prove challenging as the path is uncharted.

Towards Freedom explores where we’ve been, where we are and where we’re headed.
